I will care for this animal humanely. I agree to license the animal in compliance with the laws and ordinances for the county, which I reside. I will not sell, trade or dispose of the animal in any way but to return the animal to Fur to Feather Rescues/Julie Kowal if I decide at anytime during the animal’s life that I no longer wish to keep him/her. In no case shall I place the adopted animal with animal control, Humane Society, Medical Lab, Pet Shop or other owner. (In the event that the adopter breaches these terms, the adopter shall pay Fur to Feathers/Julie Kowal the amount of $1000 and liquidated damages for said breach.) I do understand that the adopted animal is to be an indoor pet. I agree this animal shall not be used for medical or experimental purposes. I fully understand that this adoption is conditional and that Fur to Feather Rescue/Julie Kowal may examine and inquire about the animal and at anytime immediately reclaim the animal IF there has been a violation of any of the conditions of the adoption. I agree to notify Fur to Feather Rescue/Julie Kowal of any changes in phone numbers and/or address.

Statement of Understanding Health Risks
We are a rescue, NOT a pet shop or a vet clinic. We receive owner surrendered, stray animals, injured or abandoned pets. Few of the owner surrendered may have vet records, however, for most we have NO medical history.
We strive to keep our animals healthy. We give the animal protective shots upon entry. Cats receive a RCPC (Rhinotracheitis, calcivirus, panleukopenia and Chlamydia).
However, an inoculated animal could become ill with any of the above-mentioned conditions and/or many more potential medical threats; because inoculations cannot provide immediate protection with certain situations.
THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT THE ANIMAL YOU ADOPT WILL NOT BECOME ILL AFTER YOU HAVE TAKEN HIM/HER HOME.
An adopted animal may look healthy on its adoption day and begin to show signs of illness at a later time at your home. Apart from the measures we take from trying to keep the rescued animals healthy, there are no other reasonable, affordable precautions that we can take to prevent a pet from becoming ill after adoption. We want you to be forewarned that the pet you adopt extensive post adoption vet care.
I understand that the animal that I am adopting may require medical treatment that could result in significant vet bills. I will not hold Fur to Feathers Rescue/Julie Kowal or any volunteer of this group accountable for costs of such treatment.

REFUND POLICY
No portion of the cat adoption fees will be refunded. If the cat shows signs of aggression or unworkable behavioral issues within the first two weeks after adoption, the cat MUST be returned to Fur to Feathers Rescue/Julie Kowal and another MAY be adopted for a discounted adoption fee.
